You’ve probably come across this because you’re either researching a North Yorkshire wedding or have already decided upon booking at Aldwark Manor. 

Originally built in 1865, Aldwark Manor has recently been extensively renovated with opulent décor and unique features, such as welcome drinks on Agatha, the vintage double-decker bus.

The house was commissioned by Lord Walsingham for his daughter and constructed under a Buckingham Palace architect. Contemporary refurbishment makes for moodily lit corners everywhere, a temperature-controlled wine tasting facility, several luxurious dining area options, including the Elements restaurant, all whilst still retaining the Victorian grandeur of tall windows flooding the stairwell with light, for the most elegant of wedding photographs. All this sits on a 120-acre estate including a golf course and spa.

At Alwark Manor, you and your partner can choose from a church wedding at the nearby St. Stephen’s, Holy Trinity, Little Ouseburn, St. John the Baptist, Easingwold, or choices further afield in Harrogate or York.

Ceremony venue options include the Walsingham Suite, Walsingham Garden, Barnes Wallis and Derwent Suite, whilst your evening reception can be held in the Ladybower Suite, complete with private bar and DJ facilities, overlooking the terrace.

Perhaps the day before, you could indulge your bridal and/or groom’s party with Champagne Afternoon Tea, whilst accommodation includes the Wensleydale Suite, with views of the estate and River Ure, and 50+ rooms beyond, from junior suites to deluxe rooms, classic rooms, doubles or twins, and the separate South Lodge on the estate, complete with hot tub!

Complimentary pre-wedding shoot (circa 2 & ½ hrs) to allow couples to get to know Tom’s approach, so you are comfortable in front of the lens prior to your wedding day – subject to mutually convenient date, (ideally but not exclusively mid-week) – provides photos for wedding save-the-dates, invites, website, or wall art

Skilled curation and editing of your online gallery (circa 600+ images on average)

Couple’s online gallery - download web resolution photos for online use, full resolution photos for prints & wall art orders – couples & family can “favourite” a selection of images to curate ideas for album design

Albums are available as either part of an integrated package or as an additional option later

Guests can enter a password-protected gallery to access and order social media downloads, prints, and wall art, from canvas, to framed, acrylic or metal prints

Couples can opt for two photographers – a second photographer is important if you want to cover more candid photos of friends during afternoon and evening receptions, when I am occupied with portraits elsewhere, and if you want to cover both of your preparations ahead of the ceremony
